Venezuela, Vietnam Endorse
New Cooperation Agreements

A number of agreements, including the installation
of energy-efficient light bulbs and lorries
manufacturing plants, were signed by the Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela and the Socialist Republic
of Vietnam on last Friday.
“One of the projects resulting of the agreements includes an energy-efficient
light bulbs factory. Vietnam manufactures many products. We need millions of
light bulbs and we need to manufacture them here, not just for Venezuela, but
for the rest of the countries in the Caribbean and Central America,” said
President Chávez.
The president mentioned that Venezuela has
opened relations with allied countries such
as Vietnam and stressed the heroic nature and
big development of this Southeast Asian
country.
“We are going to sign a set of agreements with the government of Vietnam
as a result of the international relations of our government,” said President
Chávez.
The Venezuelan president also said that the
agreements include the creation of plants to
manufacture lorries.
The agreements were inked as the First Venezuela-Vietnam
Joint Commission, which addressed the cooperation
joint plans, closed.
